Terms of Service
Last updated 5 August 2026
Plain language, because you should be able to read this. It covers what Yaply does, what your organizer is responsible for, and — most importantly — how money moves, since we never hold it.
01What Yaply Groups is
Yaply Groups is a marketplace. We connect travellers with independent trip organizers, verify the identity of the people on both sides, and give you tools to discover trips, apply to them, and keep a shared record of payments.
We are not a tour operator, travel agent, or insurer. We do not plan, run, staff, or supervise any trip. Every trip on Yaply is created and operated by an independent organizer who is solely responsible for it.
02Who can use Yaply
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must give accurate information about yourself, and keep it accurate.
- You must complete ID verification before you can apply to a trip or publish one.
- One account per person. Do not share your login.
03How money works
You pay the organizer directly. Yaply does not hold, escrow, process, or route your money, and we never see your card or bank credentials. An organizer gives you a UPI ID, a QR code, or bank details, and you pay them by whatever means you both agree.
Both sides then record that payment in Yaply. That record is the shared trail if the payment is ever questioned. It is a record, not a guarantee — recording a payment does not mean Yaply has verified, received, or secured any money.
Because we do not hold funds, we cannot reverse a payment, issue a refund, or force an organizer to pay you back. Refunds are governed entirely by the cancellation policy the organizer published on the trip.
04Applying, deposits, and cancellations
- Applying to a trip is free and costs you nothing until an organizer accepts you.
- Once accepted, a seat is held for a limited period while you pay the deposit. If you do not, the organizer may release it.
- The balance is due before departure unless the organizer states otherwise.
- Each trip carries the organizer cancellation policy. Read it before you pay — it, not this document, decides what happens to your money if plans change.
- If a trip does not reach its minimum group size, the organizer may cancel it. Any refund is between you and that organizer.
05Responsibilities of organizers
- Describe the trip accurately, including the itinerary, what the price covers, and what it does not.
- Hold whatever permits, licences, and insurance the law requires for what you are running.
- Publish a cancellation policy in plain language and honour it.
- Confirm payments you have actually received, promptly and honestly.
- Treat travellers safely and respectfully, and never collect payment outside what you have disclosed.
06Verification and what it means
We check that a government ID appears genuine and matches a selfie of the person holding it. A real person reviews every submission.
That is the limit of it. Verification is an identity check, not a background check, a criminal record check, a competence check, or an endorsement. A verified badge does not mean we vouch for anyone or guarantee your safety. Use your own judgement, tell someone where you are going, and meet in public first.
07Reviews
Reviews of organizers become public once both parties have reviewed each other, or once the review window closes, whichever comes first. Reviews between travellers stay private and are only ever used in aggregate.
Write honestly and from your own experience. We may remove reviews that contain personal contact details, links, abuse, or claims that are demonstrably false.
08What you may not do
- Impersonate anyone, or use another person identity documents.
- Take payments or move conversations off Yaply to avoid the shared payment record.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger anyone.
- Post anything unlawful, or list a trip you do not intend or are not able to run.
- Scrape, resell, or automate access to the service.
09Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we believe is being used fraudulently, or that puts other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.
You can close your account at any time. Closing it does not cancel obligations you already have to an organizer or a traveller.
10Our liability
Yaply provides the platform. We are not liable for what happens on a trip, for an organizer acts or omissions, for injury, loss, delay, or damage during travel, or for a payment made between you and another user.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability can be limited, ours is limited to the fees you have paid us, which for most users is nothing.
11Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Yaply after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
